Major updates and roadmap dates – why they’re not binding

We list a major update when a content drop changes something noticeable: new maps, modes, factions, economy reworks, season starts. Small hotfixes and balance patches don’t go here. A roadmap milestone is a step the studio has communicated – “big weapon update in spring”, “console version to follow” – a direction, not a contract.

Roadmaps slip. Studios re-prioritise, features get split or pushed. We record the most recently communicated state and flag it as an estimate until a firm date is confirmed. For the hard date, the official announcement is what counts.

How this calendar is put together

Every date comes from an official source – patch notes, dev blogs and studio announcements. Where a source exists, the “Source” link goes straight to it, and “checked” shows when we last verified the entry against it.

When a date isn’t official yet, we add an estimate – usually derived from a game’s past cadence – and flag it visibly as “estimate”. For those entries, trust the rough window, not the exact day. This is an editorially maintained overview, not a live data feed; if in doubt, the official announcement wins.
