Season endWhat a wipe is – and why the dates move
In a wipe, the game resets every player’s progress: inventory, stash, trader reputation, often skills too. What stays is the experience. Wipes keep the playing field level and hand everyone a fresh “day one” that many players deliberately look forward to. Escape from Tarkov wipes roughly every six months, usually with a new version; Hunt: Showdown 1896 uses seasons instead, Gray Zone Warfare does it differently again – which is why each game shows its known cadence.
Studios often confirm exact wipe dates only a few days ahead. Until then, the entry here is an estimate based on the past gap between wipes – useful for rough planning, but not a date to commit to.
How this calendar is put together
Every date comes from an official source – patch notes, dev blogs and studio announcements. Where a source exists, the “Source” link goes straight to it, and “checked” shows when we last verified the entry against it.
When a date isn’t official yet, we add an estimate – usually derived from a game’s past cadence – and flag it visibly as “estimate”. For those entries, trust the rough window, not the exact day. This is an editorially maintained overview, not a live data feed; if in doubt, the official announcement wins.
