1/5Cargo Hunters is a third-person PvE extraction shooter: pilot a remote-controlled combat robot to loot, craft and fight your way across a dying Earth, solo or in 4-player co-op โ with no player-vs-player risk.
About the game
Cargo Hunters is a third-person PvE extraction shooter in which players don't control a human, but a remote-piloted humanoid robot. Earth has become uninhabitable after climate-triggered superviruses wiped out most life; those wealthy enough fled the planet and now send robotic proxies back to scavenge valuables from the abandoned world. The core loop follows the classic extraction formula: gear up before a run, loot the map, and make it to an extraction point before dying โ die, and everything you carried is gone. Unlike many well-known extraction shooters, Cargo Hunters has no PvP: all threats come from AI-controlled enemies and hazards, making it a fit for players who want the genre's tension without the risk of human opponents. The Early Access build already offers substantial content: roughly 20 hours of quest-driven gameplay across two large maps, 350+ unique lootable items, 38+ weapons with 230+ modifications and 15+ ammo types, and 84+ wearable equipment pieces such as vests, helmets and backpacks. It also includes 127+ individual robot body parts with their own perks, a crafting and recycling system, shelter upgrades, and mechanics for weapon customization, gear durability and repair. Up to four players can team up in online co-op. Cargo Hunters is developed by Order Of Meta and published by HypeTrain Digital (also known for Quasimorph). Early Access is planned to last at least 12 months, with the developers targeting new locations, quests, enemies and a dedicated PvE co-op mode during that period.
