Road to Vostok is a realistic, purely solo survival shooter with zero PvP: loot, trade and prepare across a post-apocalyptic Finland–Russia border zone, building up to a final, permanent crossing into Vostok, where one mistake wipes your entire save.

About the game

Road to Vostok is a hardcore, realistic first-person survival shooter developed by a solo developer following a roughly two-year public demo phase with over 800,000 players. Unlike most extraction shooters, it's strictly single-player — there's no PvP at all, and every threat comes from AI factions. The world is split into three zones of escalating risk. Area 05, an evacuated zone in southeastern Finland, is where you gather starting gear, trade, and fend off an anarchist Bandit faction. From there, the road leads through the guarded Border Zone, where crossing points involve minefields, physical obstacles, or waterways patrolled by armed, corrupt border guards backed by air support. Those who make it into Vostok find the game's most valuable loot — guarded by the most dangerous faction of all, a heavily armed Military with armored vehicles. The key distinction: dying in Area 05 or the Border Zone only costs you what you were carrying, but dying in Vostok wipes your entire save — every shelter, every item, every bit of progress, gone for good. Looting is physics-based rather than fixed-spawn, paired with a Tetris-style inventory. Trading runs on barter rather than currency, with specialized traders whose tasks unlock rare items and new shelters. Shelters serve as the only save points and can be freely arranged and decorated. A dynamic world with a full day/night cycle, changing weather, selectable seasons (summer/winter), and random events like airdrops keeps no two playthroughs alike. The game doesn't force any particular playstyle — you can go full military operator or spend a run as a quiet fisherman playing harmonica on a remote island. Road to Vostok has been in Early Access since April 2026; the full release is planned to roughly double the content — more maps, traders, tasks, weapons and items — plus shared shelters and modding tools.
