1/5Deadline Escape is a low-poly, first-person extraction shooter built for solo play: loot gear, survive zombies and hostile factions, and escape each map before its countdown hits zero – in Softcore or Hardcore mode.
About the game
Deadline Escape is a first-person extraction looter shooter with a cartoony, low-poly art style, set in a post-apocalyptic world. Unlike most games in the genre, it's built entirely around solo play — there's no PvP and no co-op, so the only threat you face comes from the environment itself. Every run starts at your personal hideout, where you store supplies, manage a grid-based inventory, and trade with NPCs before heading out onto one of four maps. Once outside, survival stats like health, stamina, thirst and hunger matter, all set against day/night and weather cycles. The game's defining mechanic is its countdown: each map runs on a timer, and you have to reach the extraction point before your "deadline" runs out. There are over 300 items to find — weapons, gear, consumables, materials and quest items — alongside 200+ quests of various types. Enemies range from zombies to hostile human factions (Rebels, Renegades) and bosses. A leveling system unlocks new NPCs, maps and hideout upgrades, and a dedicated shooting range lets you test weapons risk-free. Players can choose Hardcore mode for a tougher, more punishing run or Softcore for a more forgiving pace, and over 100 Steam achievements add long-term goals to chase. Deadline Escape is developed by a two-person indie team of the same name. Early Access is planned to run for 1–2 years, with more maps, enemy types and weapons on the roadmap. At under $5, it's positioned as one of the most accessible entry points into the extraction genre.
