Battlestate Games has shipped Patch 1.1.5.0 for Escape from Tarkov, and it takes the Lighthouse map almost completely apart.
What used to be a Rogue fortress wrapped in a minefield is now a more open map with new routes, relocated factions and a BTR that can show up almost anywhere.
Lighthouse is not the same map anymore
The biggest change in Patch 1.1.5.0 is Lighthouse. Battlestate says the goal is to give players more control over the risks they take and to cut their dependence on random factors. In practice:
- The Rogues have moved from the water treatment plant to the mountain chalets.
- There are no stationary weapons left at the water treatment plant.
- Every landmine at the water treatment plant has been removed.
- The open stretches along the main road now have more cover and extra routes.
- A transition point to the Icebreaker has been added. The hovercraft sits at the pier near the water cottages.
- Loot distribution has been reworked. Rogue stashes with their abandoned gear are now scattered across the map.
- The BTR now patrols the whole location. Its route has several variants and covers everything, including the approach to the bridge toward the peninsula and the water treatment plant.
- New underground passages in the mountains shorten the way to the extracts in the south.
- The Marked Room has been moved off the Lightkeeper peninsula.
- Prapor's camp has been relocated, and several key points for main story tasks now sit in new spots.
On top of that there is a temporary task chain built around the shifting faction balance on Lighthouse. If you have been avoiding the map because every path ran through mines and MG nests, you now have far more options.
The road to Lightkeeper has been rebuilt
The task chain that unlocks Lightkeeper access has been reworked from scratch, including the requirements to start it. Battlestate says it now leans on testing your skills rather than repeating the same kind of task over and over.
To get the first task in the "To the Light" chain you need to:
- have Lighthouse access through the "Tour" storyline;
- hold Loyalty Level 3 with every trader except Fence and Ref;
- ask Mechanic about working with Lightkeeper.
Several Lightkeeper tasks were reworked based on player feedback. For some of them, Lightkeeper now hands out a rare key to a loot room on the Lighthouse peninsula. A number of side tasks that mostly play out on Lighthouse have changed as well, and new tasks were added to smooth out progression.
Icebreaker: access works differently now
Getting onto the Icebreaker follows new rules as of Patch 1.1.5.0.
- The Icebreaker can now be reached from Shoreline and from Lighthouse.
- There is no more rouble payment. Instead you need a single-use "Sudak-tudak" marine repair kit.
- You get the kit by completing Ragman's "Pay the Fare!" task. After that you unlock a special type of operational task that rewards more "Sudak-tudak" kits.
"Rave" Hideout set and other additions
The Expansion Hub now carries a new Hideout customization set called "Rave". It goes for an underground club look and includes wall, floor and ceiling decorations.
The rest of the general changes:
- A new indicator shows which tasks an item can currently be handed over for.
- After a raid you can open the profile of a PMC or player Scav from the killed players list and report them.
- The area you have to hit to shoot the lock off a container or door has been made larger.
- A new task, "Can't Drink Away Skill", rewards the Loui Peeton wallet. It becomes available after "Is This a Reference?".
- The "Part of the Ship, Part of the Crew" achievement now also grants an Icebreaker Model Kit, plus a crafting recipe that uses it.
- Rogue attitude toward USEC characters has been adjusted.
Balance: less XP for farming, face masks lose armor
The balance pass mostly targets XP sources and trader prices.
- The XP multiplier for transitions now ramps up more slowly. It starts lower than before for 1 to 2 transitions and only reaches the old values at 16 or more.
- Less XP for killing Wedge, his squad and Black Division operatives on the Icebreaker.
- Less XP for Shadow of Tagilla, Vengeful Killa and Scavs in The Labyrinth.
- The purchase price for euros and dollars at traders has been lowered.
- The sale price of the HK MP5 at Mechanic and Peacekeeper Loyalty Level 2 has changed.
- Six face masks lost their armor: Glorious E, Shattered, DevTac Samurai Menpo Mask, DevTac Samurai Menpo Mask (White), Death Shadow and Death Shadow (Gray).
The fixes that matter
The fix list is long. The ones you are most likely to notice:
- Saved weapon presets no longer disappear after a raid.
- Empty keybind entries in the control settings have been fixed for affected players.
- Padlocked doors could stay impassable even after the lock was shot off. That is fixed.
- Hit registration when firing bolt-action rifles right after mounting them on a bipod has been fixed.
- Excessive shading in the visuals on Labs and some other locations has been cleaned up.
- Reloading with magazines from your pockets now works even with an unsearched rig equipped.
- Strength and Endurance now level up during the first raid after gym training in the Hideout.
- Regular Scavs no longer turn hostile toward a player Scav who damaged a Black Division operative.
- Several crashes while loading into a raid have been fixed.
- The missing weapon attachments from Patch 1.1.0.0 are now in Peacekeeper's stock.
- The wrong weapon presets for Sanitar, Killa and Kaban's guards have been corrected.
Patch 1.1.5.0 FAQ
When did Patch 1.1.5.0 release?
On 8 September 2026.
What is the biggest change?
The Lighthouse rework. The Rogues moved to the mountain chalets, every mine at the water treatment plant is gone, the BTR patrols the whole map, and new underground passages in the mountains cut the route to the southern extracts.
How do I reach Lightkeeper now?
You need Lighthouse access through the "Tour" storyline, Loyalty Level 3 with every trader except Fence and Ref, and you have to ask Mechanic about working with Lightkeeper. That starts the new "To the Light" chain.
What does Icebreaker access cost now?
No more roubles. You need a "Sudak-tudak" marine repair kit from Ragman's "Pay the Fare!" task. After that, operational tasks keep supplying more kits.
