Rifts have torn open in the multiverse of Active Matter: the Halloween investigation "Thin Boundary" runs until November 2.
Echoes of beings from erased timelines are seeping into the zones through the rifts, and bringing some dark decor for your Shelter with them.
When the rifts are open
- Start: October 30, 2026, 09:00 UTC
- End: November 2, 2026, 09:00 UTC
That is three days, so if you want the rewards, plan your weekend.
What awaits you in the zones
According to the Agency, rifts have opened between your sector and a neighbouring branch of the multiverse. "Residual imprints" are leaking through into the quantum-unstable zones, echoes of entities erased from alternate timelines. The Thin Boundary investigation sends you in:
- complete objectives and secure samples for study
- harvest unique crops to give your Shelter a darker, brooding atmosphere
- expect surprises, because the multiverse apparently has more of them in store than usual
Next up: the BTR-80A rolls in
On the same day, Matter Team teased new hardware: abandoned BTR-80A armoured personnel carriers are coming to Dalniy Island and Anguka Anga. Eight wheels, a 30 mm autocannon and armour that shrugs off bullets and claws alike.
You can only drive it once you have scavenged fuel and ammo though. Whoever manages it first takes the wheel. For everyone else: hear an engine or cannon fire, change your route. And if there is no way around it, get to cover fast or stop it with an RPG-7. For how the game is doing overall, see our piece on 500,000 copies sold.
