The Nightfall Refresh for Marathon is live and puts every Runner back at zero: credits, gear, Cradle and faction upgrades are all gone.
In return you get a fixed weekly schedule, a Rewards Pass with no time limit and some real relief for solo players.
The wipe in detail
Bungie wraps the reset in lore as usual: fiscal season is over and ONI has taken your credits and equipment to settle your debts. These were reset:
- Runner, Cradle and faction levels
- Priority Contracts and rank
- vault contents
- zone access
Perimeter and Dire Marsh are open from the start. Outpost follows on Thursday, Cryo Archive from October 15. Cryo Archive now runs every week from Thursday to Monday instead of ending on Sunday.
Climbing back faster
To keep the fresh start from turning into a slog, Bungie has adjusted several systems:
- Cradle XP: up 30 percent for the whole refresh.
- Armory: most wares cost 30 percent fewer credits, barters 20 to 50 percent less salvage.
- Factions: lower reputation requirements to match the shorter run.
- Login rewards: a new set every week, and you can still claim them if you miss a week.
Solo gets less brutal
In solo playlists, the UESC is now less aggressive and deals 20 percent less damage. Going it alone should no longer mean getting shredded by AI all the time.
On the Runner side, Recon takes the biggest hit: Echo Pulse now fires in a cone where you aim instead of all around you. It is still useful, just no longer mandatory in fights against other teams. The Repeater HPR and Hardline PR get reworked playstyles, while the Magnum and DRRVSH are toned down.
Weekly schedule until Symbiosis
Sponsored Queues now run every weekend from Thursday to Monday in rotation: Perimeter first, then Marsh, then Night Marsh. That three-week cycle repeats until Symbiosis launches on December 8.
- Vault Breaker: October 20 to November 9, with 50 percent more event currency for solo players.
- C.A.R.R.I.: from October 20 until the end of the refresh.
- Ordnance Heist: November 10 to 23.
The new NuCaloric Rewards Pass is free for every owner and never expires, so you can work through it at your own pace.
